12 Things to do After the Wedding

The marketing team over at Toyota of San Diego reached out and asked if we would partner with them to help spread their monthly positive message to the local community. Because we are in the full swing of wedding season, we couldn't say "no" to sharing their helpful Post-Wedding Checklist and What to Do After the Wedding guide! Enjoy!

Preserve the Memories

1. Clean and preserve your wedding dress within six months

2. Order or finalize your wedding album and video

3. Preserve your bouquet by pressing it into a book or displaying it in a shadowbox

4. Freeze your cake in an airtight container to enjoy on your first anniversary

5. Create a keepsake box for all the knick-knacks you want to save

Get Down to Business

6. Send "thank you" notes no later than two months after your wedding

7. Leave vendor reviews and thank them for all their help during your special day

8. Return or exchange unwanted/duplicate registry gifts

9. Take down your wedding site and registry, if you have one

10. Sell, store, or donate decor

11. Return unused wedding items and decorations

12. Change your Name (if applicable)

Don't forget to change your name on the following documents:

- Social Security Card

- Anything else with your name on it
